Hartford Mill (located in Oldham, Greater Manchester) is actually my very first urban exploration in the United Kingdom. This location is pretty different from the abandoned sites I've visited in Poland. Hartford is one of numerous cotton mills spread out on the entire Greater Manchester, famous as the centre of British textile industry in 19th and early 20th century.
Hartford Mill was built in 1907, closed in 1959 and since then used as a mail order warehouse up to 1992. It is a spacious, 4 floor (plus basement) building with splendid view on Manchester City Centre.
